The new Hikvision AcuSeek NVR is a network video recorder that uses advanced AI technology and a large multimodal model to make retrieving video footage much easier and faster. Instead of searching using fixed filters or manually rewinding footage, users can simply provide a text description of what they want to see, such as a person wearing a blue jacket, a white van, or a child with a backpack. The system understands such natural language commands and searches through the recorded video footage at lightning speed.

AcuSeek’s strength lies in four pillars. The system performs broad searches because, in addition to people and vehicles, it can also recognize less obvious objects or unusual situations. It performs accurate searches because it thoroughly understands complex descriptions with multiple details, thereby reducing false positives. It also works almost instantly, so results are visible within seconds, even with large amounts of data. Furthermore, it is flexible: users can search using predefined options such as “people,” “vehicles,” or “animals,” or formulate their own custom search queries—all in multiple languages.

The NVR is designed for a wide range of applications, from traditional security purposes and traffic management to public safety and community services. Thanks to support for high resolutions up to 32 megapixels, multiple video outputs including 4K HDMI, powerful decoding, and space for multiple hard drives, the system is suitable for both small and large installations. Combined with other smart Hikvision features such as AcuSense and AcuSearch, AcuSeek provides a powerful solution for organizations that not only want to record their video footage but, above all, want to search it efficiently and intelligently.
